MODELING ANALYST II
The Maricopa Association of Governments is seeking a Modeling Analyst
II. Duties include the development and use of a state of the art
socioeconomic and land use model, conducting analyses, and writing
technical reports. Requires the ability to perform complex statistical
calculations to interpret and analyze model outputs, development,
demographics, transportation, and other related data. Candidate must
have working knowledge of object oriented programming languages (e.g.
Python, C#, Java) and statistics. Strong computer, problem solving, and
communication skills are necessary. Knowledge of ArcGIS and ArcView
software and UrbanSim/OPUS preferred. Requires a BS in computer science,
mathematics/statistics, geography, or related field and three to five
years of relevant experience in programming, statistics, analysis and
modeling. Masters degree preferred. Salary range is $51,042 - $76,563,

The Maricopa Association of Governments is seeking a Modeling Analyst
III. This position performs socioeconomic and land use modeling for a
rapidly growing metropolitan area. Duties include the development and
use of a state of the art socioeconomic and land use model, conducting
analyses, managing consultant contracts, writing/presenting technical
reports to committees and possibly supervising entry and professional
level staff. Requires the ability to perform complex statistical
calculations to interpret and analyze model outputs, development,
demographics, transportation, and other related data. Candidate must
have working knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), object
oriented programming languages (e.g. Python, C#, Java) and advanced
statistics. Strong computer, problem solving, communication, and project
management skills are necessary. Bachelor's degree in science,
geography, engineering or related field with at least five years
experience is required. A Master's degree is preferred. Applied
knowledge of land use/transportation modeling techniques preferred.
Salary range $59,088 - $88,631 DOE. Excellent benefits package,

desired. Salary range is $56,274 to $84,411, dependent on skills and
