We have not been advertising the GUI so as to avoid raising expectations
too soon, but yes, there is a GUI under very active development. We may
start posting some snapshots on the web site soon to give users a
preview of it. This development is being supported by the Maricopa
Association of Governments and the Pima Association of Governments under
the umbrella of a project called AZ-SMART. We are hoping to get a
stable release out relatively soon that includes an initial version of
the GUI, an installer for windows, and a tutorial and sample dataset.

Some descriptive points:
- It is developed in Python using the Qt4 widget library
- It is data-driven, with the contents of the GUI reading/writing
configurations in XML
- It is organized into tabs collecting related tasks for Data
Management, Model Management, Scenario Management, and Results Management
- It will be able to send and retrieve data from a variety of SQL
databases and geodatabases (ESRI and Postgis)
- It has integrated model estimation, simulation, and computation of
indicators
- It allows users to extend the interface by adding arbitrary scripts,
queries, expressions

This is all in the subversion repository, but undergoing very rapid
change, so we will wait for this to stabilize a bit more before putting
it into the stable release on the web. If you want to access the copy
in subversion, it is in the opus_gui package, but as Jesse noted, be
warned that it is not yet complete, stable or documented.
