We at Lane Council of Governments in Eugene, Oregon would like to know
if there are examples of UrbanSIM models being used for planning in
small to medium sized metropolitan areas in the U.S.? By small to
medium, I mean 200,000 - 500,000 population. We're interested in
learning what the model development level of effort and time frame has
been from those who are using the model. We're also interested in
learning how the modeling tools have withstood the rigors and scrutiny
of the transportation planning policy environment. Are there any such
examples and, if so, people involved in these project who would be
willing to chat with us here at LCOG about your experiences. Thank you.
