There is a household synthesis utility that we developed as part of
UrbanSim 3, but it has not been ported to UrbanSim 4. Now that there are
several household synthesizers available (SEMCOG has developed one, the
one developed for the ARC is being used by several agencies, etc.), it
has not yet risen to the top priority for us to port this tool. The one
we developed for UrbanSim 3 should still work, but is not very user
friendly. We will be incorporating some household synthesis utility into
UrbanSim 4 but have not made final decisions on whether it will be by
linking to an existing tool or creating a new one. In any case, the
documentation should be updated.
