Hi Rick,
Sorry to hear that you're having difficulty with the documentation not
matching the codebase.
Did you use the windows installer to setup UrbanSim? If so, I think that
you may be using the latest development version of UrbanSim code (which
the installer installs); unfortunately, in the current development
version, the Eugene tutorial's tools are in the process of being
migrated to another GUI toolkit, which is why those tools do not exist.
This problem stems from an oversight on my part: the self-installer
should not be linked to yet on the windows installation pages.
If this is the case, you have two options: (1) reinstall UrbanSim using
the non-self-installer option from
http://www.urbansim.org/docs/installation/windows_install.html and then
retry the Eugene tutorial; (2) use your current installation whose
codebase is ahead of the documentation in some parts. If you decide for
(2), you should be able to get the Eugene cache into your mysql database
by running the following script (w/ command line arguments):
opus_core/tools/do_export_cache_to_sql_database.py --cache_path [path to
simulation results] --database_name [desired name of resulting database].
Hope that helps.
Travis
