Opus and UrbanSim 4 Documentation and DownloadContents
Latest Stable Release (4.2.2)The following links are for the latest stable release of Opus and UrbanSim 4, along with documentation for that release. This is a minor bugfix release. The first release in the 4.2 series, 4.2.0, was a major release with a new graphical interface and accompanying documentation. We welcome feedback on it. If you are new to UrbanSim, start with the installation instructions, then the section on the Opus GUI in the Opus and UrbanSim 4 User Guide, which is tutorial in nature. This will show you how to estimate and run the model on sample data using the Opus graphical interface. Documentation for the Latest Stable Release

Release NotesThe release notes are now on our trac wiki. They describe changes that users may want to be aware of, such as changes to functionality, changes to data requirements, and changes to the external API. The notes are grouped by releases. For example, the release notes for version 4.2 cover stable releases 4.2.0 and 4.2.1, as well as the latest development version.Latest Development VersionThe following links are for the latest development version of Opus and UrbanSim 4, along with the latest documentation. Not always for the faint-of-heart. Documentation for the Current Development Version
Source Code and Sample Data for the Current Development VersionThe latest source code is available from our subversion repository. We also provide a zip file containing sample data for Eugene and Seattle projects, template configurations for running simulations using these projects, and a directory in which to insert the source code. Download the zip file for the latest development version from the link in the following table. Please see the installation instructions (linked above) for more information on using the repository and the tar file.
You can check the status of the latest release in the repository by following the build status link. See releases and unit tests for more information. Older Stable ReleasesIn July 2007 we changed from cvs to a subversion repository, and also simplified the format for our stable releases. The following table lists stable releases since then (except for the latest one, which is listed at the top of this page). Each release inclues a zip file with source code, sample data, and documentation corresponding to that release. The source zip file is intended for people who are just doing some initial experimentation with UrbanSim -- it includes the basic packages, along with documentation. If you are intending to make more serious use of UrbanSim, however, we suggest that you download the code from our subversion repository instead, and use subversion to manage updates. This will make it much easier to update later. For each stable release in the table below, we also give a link to that stable release in the repository. If you previously downloaded an older version of UrbanSim and installed it in your Python site-packages directory, please delete the old version before running the new one! That will prevent them from interfering with each other.
UrbanSim 3UrbanSim 3, the previous Java implementation of UrbanSim, is obsolete and is no longer available on the download page. (If you really need it for some reason please contact us.)
