Introduction

This chapter describes the different components -- datasets and models -- used in a typical application of UrbanSim to simulate different actors and processes in the urban environment. These components are the ones we use in the Puget Sound application. As described in Chapter , not all of these component models are required to run UrbanSim; however, we hope that researchers and practitioners who want to apply UrbanSim 4 to other regions will find this a useful starting point.
