2010 UrbanSim Conference
European Conference
A European meeting will be held in Zurich, May 19-22, focused on the SustainCity project that has been launched this year to model sustainability in European cities using UrbanSim and dynamic travel models (MATSIM and METROPOLIS). This meeting will be held May 19-22 in Zurich.
Urban Simulation Conference at UC Berkeley, CA, May 25-28
The Urban Simulation Conference in Berkeley will bring together UrbanSim developers and users from planning agencies (COGs and MPOs, Cities/Counties, transportation agencies), and academia.
Registration is Now Closed: Please use this link to register for the two-day conference on May 27-28, or the Introduction to UrbanSim intensive training, May 25-26, or both.

Training Session: Introduction to UrbanSim-May 25-26
This two-day course provides an intensive short-course for new users of the Open Platform for Urban Simulation and UrbanSim. It provides an overview of the capabilities of the system, the Graphical User Interface, and relatively non-technical introductions into the procedures to begin a new project, load data from the local area, adapt the model specifications from an existing project, and estimate the model parameters. It covers running a simulation and generating and visualizing indicators from it. It also describes the capacities to interface UrbanSim to existing travel model systems.
The course will be held in a 25-station computing lab in the Department of City and Regional Planning at UC Berkeley, and each student will have individual access to a computer.
The sessions will begin at 9:00 am, and are in Wurster Hall, Room 214.
